Baby removed in NPC's house...

My active sim was visiting a house. The household living there had a baby in a crib. I never actually played that household after their baby was born.

Minutes after my sim arrived the house to visit them, there was a popup saying that he baby was neglected and had to be removed. Then the crib vanished...

How can the game calculate that the baby was neglected when this lit was never played (with he baby in)?

After this I will no longer keep newborn in their crib, but age them to toddlers the minute they were born. Seems too scary losing them while not playing them...

Any ide what is going on?

I have most packs, and I patched about a month ago (skipped only 1 or 2 latest patches).

  • Did you check AHQ for an issue?

I have several NPC families with babies and my sims frequently visit and the babies are always still there.
  • Thanks, no. But I will. I never experienced it before, so I don't really see what can have caused it. I play rotationally. That said, I rarely play babies, so in the past I might have aged them up right away, before anyone had a chance to visit. Just found it weird if the game counts "household not being played" as neglecting baby.
  • There is a bug report, and they are looking for saves from people who have it

  • I quite often visit families with babies. I hope they look into this issue.
