Back from a 4 year hiatus and totally overwhelmed. Could use some advice

So I haven't posted around here in years and went from in-the-know to totally in-the-dark. Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of TS4 and was awaiting the next installment to hop back in the Sims/the communit...

Shop the sales is my main advise and get some of the EP's and GP's that interest you sooner rather than later. If you do play with single sim households it's a good call to put Parenthood and related packs lower on the want list along with Pets. Otherwise go with preferences.
