There is no telling what will be in this update. I do know this though. Gamespot news and some other sites have been spreading the news that the Sims 5 will not be coming out. This is only 1 of the articles I read that have been talking about it to the public, since July. You can copy and paste link if you wish to read it. I unlinked it intentionally.

Yeah I was pretty bummed out from reading that. Developing games takes a very long time, a sims5 would not come out until at least 2030, I don't think people who bought Seasons in 2018 would complain about having to buy a new sims game with seasons again. So many years have passed since then so I think they need to start working on The Sims 5 now. The Sims 4 will still be around.
Anyway, my guess is that this update has something to do with skin details, or maybe something more related to CAS as I seem to recall that they also mentioned that they want to look into improving townies.

Oh, I was sure this was announced long ag. At least I thought it was decided at least last Winter. I now see that I might have based my convincement on false stuff - or on pure imagination, perhaps.
In a way I'm glad we won't need to sart from scratch again. Not quite sure I'd been on that train.

I'm ready and steady to start this game over.
I have several clones of me in deep freeze hibernation...just waiting for the next gen game in The Sims series.
I can't wait for the year 3065. I'm gonna be a teen again!
Happy for any updates in this game.🙂

Sims 5 not being "a thing" has been known for a few years now at least. Project Rene was openly stated to not be "Sims 5" several times and they've extpressed a few times that they do not intend to make a new mainline title any time soon and everything else is spinoffs/"alternate experiences". Even Project Rene seems to have transformed into an odd mobile game instead of a full scale spinoff.

I will be 75 years old in 2030. Sims 4 is the last game I will purchase. Hubby surely will be retired by then. Living on Social Security alone, would make purchasing another iteration of this game a folly. I do enjoy eating, after all.

Eating is good 😁
and there is indeed so many ways to improve on that part of our lives,
easily eating any riches we may come across 😅
Not quite in the same years myself
but I do think 4 times of waiting and buying same pack themes is rather enough for me 😅
My only worry with this plan is The Sims 4 getting too cluttered
as there is no set end date for new content 😅
I am also rather curious to see if no sims 5 plan gives us any new interesting spin off games
still enjoy playing Urbz, PS2 games and Medieval from time to time
and I am forever sad about missing out on Castaway and PSP games
still kind of holding hope for Castaway play through as my PS2 is still around though
just gotta find it second hand somewhere 😅
and ofcourse, there is the rerelease for ts1 and ts2 on EA APP I can still get into for a spin 😁
overall, no sims 5 is no probllama for me, just hope existing games stay playable and fun :)- RheaFallout13 days agoSeasoned Veteran
Ahh The urbz that takes me back I loved that game so much, had it on the GBA it was one of the first sims games I played, and castaway I remember that being quite difficult especially the spear fishing element but I did play it on both the Wii and DS so the controls were a bit jank 😂 would be great if they brought back games with that kind of style again. We can only hope and cross our fingers 😄 looking forward to the update tomorrow, always interesting to read what they've fixed and added and what the new skin customizations are, that should be fun.
