I'm glad with more skin details but the ones that suit me most are still locked behind DLC.
We’ve added new Freckles for your Sim’s face and their whole body. These were created in a style similar to the Freckles from The SIms 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack, and cover everything from shoulders to ankles
Who decides that all skin details are free except one specific set? I need to pay 40 bucks to create a sim self while so many others are free? That's just unfair. If the sims team really wants to be inclusive, these freckles should be added to base game. I am not saying this to get more stuff, I bought growing together. I am saying this out of principle. Since I already payed for freckles I need to represent myself, I don't have to hurry to update.
For what it's worth, any time I think about purchasing the werewolf pack, it's not the werewolves I'm interested in, the build/buy items, or most of the CAS. It's the scars, which would be really useful when I play historical and fantasy saves in particular. So far I haven't managed to persuade myself that I need the pack, because I found CC for a specific type of scar I wanted. The situation isn't quite the same as yours, but I think it's in the same ballpark. I would love to see non-surgical body scars that aren't tied to a pack.
I'm glad the team is giving us more customisation options, but it is definitely frustrating when someone wants something specific that comes in a pack and might not always want the main theme of the pack. It's especially a concern when the game eats up so much space on computers. Way back I bought the vampire pack purely for historical feel of the build-buy items. I do enjoy playing vampires occasionally, and more than I ever expected I would, but they were not my goal when I bought the pack.
