So for files already affected by the black photo bug, are they still affected by the bug going forward? I'll begrudgingly accept if my main save's pictures are lost, but I can safely take new photos. But if the whole file is borked and all pictures going forward are at risk, then I'll be pretty mad. All the work I spent playing on it will be for nothing.
I don't know for sure, but I've not come accross any black photo in my big save. But I did (luckily) not patch my game when the photo bug came, and neither did I pach when it was supposed to be fixed. I patched yesterday.
My guess is that - any save saved with black photos will not be fixed, and was not being fixede with the fix patch either. And that you from now on will be safe, taking new photos.
I read somewhere that it was possible to avoid the black photo bug by never "exit to mainmenu". So, if switching between saves, it was recommended to exit the full game, and start it again. I do not know if this was 100% safe though, or if it matters in the future. I normally don't jump between saves, so it might be why I was not affected? (not sure how long the bug has been on board)
