I like this household, but there are always others that I like better, so they tend to get overlooked. But at least they survive the initial townie purges when starting new saves.
In my rotational save they are a polyamorous family and raise Summer's daughter (with Carlos of the Renegades) together. Before committing to that Summer had several relationships with other sims, in order not to intrude into Travis and Liberty. But the other two I think have always known that they were destined to stay together, all three of them.
Funny thing is, I created a side Star Wars themed side save just a couple of days ago and the BFF are the founders. They live in Foundry Cove, a small First Order settlement about a day's ride from Black Spire. This time I plan to give each a partner from outside the household, thus creating three close-knit families.

Here they are searching for jobs. That's George Cahill from Strangerville in the background, he is their Captain.
So far only George was in the actual Batuu world and he has hit rank 2 in the First Order. His Paranoid trait relates to Jedi and the Force in this save, not the government. I hope in time he'll come around and realize he's NOT working for the good guys.

And here lighting has just struck the tent Summer and Liberty were in. The same day they lost the second tent and the camping shower.
