Behind The Sims! 25th Birthday Celebration!

In addition to the phones, clock & cake, I hope that is a functional buffet table in Week 2.

Finally we've got the in-game day of week and time !!!

Cozy Bundle coming to PC? But isn't MySims already on EA App? What about those players who already have that?

You won't believe how long I've been waiting for landline telephones in this game. PLEASE let them be functional.

I really hope that “Nostalgia Now” means releasing the older games for download on modern PCs. Such a hassle just now getting them set up and fiddling with graphics settings.

So... am I the only one who dislikes the addition of baby hair? :(

I'm totally geeking out about the telephones & alarm clock.  So hoping they are playable objects.

So, a lot of pros and cons for me. 

Like: Nostalgic items from past games!
Dislike: Having to grind through an event to get them. (And not knowing if phones are even functional.)

Like: New hairs and clothing!
Dislike: Baby hairs. I wish they would do two versions for those who don't want them. Also, some of the clothing looks kind of low quality and bland. Lacks texture. 

Like: Content and collaborations!
Dislike: More darn kits. Meh. 

The rest: Good, I guess. New build items are nice. Not sure what the livestream is going to be about, but it's nice they're doing it. New menu, don't really see that as an anniversary thing, lol. Just an update. 

Some critique: I feel that a lot of these things have nothing to do with a Sims anniversary, like all the kits, the menu, even the CAS and B/B drop. We get updates like that all the time and it's not so different from any other year. The nostalgia items and livestream are really the different things, but we've been having "events" already, forcing people to log in to their games every week, so even that's business as usual. 

Not trying to sound ungrateful, it's nice we're getting free things. I guess I was just hoping for an update to Sims 1 and/or Sims 2 so they could be played on modern systems. 

Okay, I'm gonna have to break this one down.

Create-a-Sim

• Always happy to see new CAS items, and I appreciate the focus on basic clothing items. I'm always looking for versatile options, with any new CAS content.
• Love that they've updated a few of the base game hairstyles, and added in baby hairs. I hope that there will be two versions though, one with the baby hairs and one without. I also wish they would update the textures of all base game hairstyles, to bring them more in-line with what's offered as DLC.

Build and Buy Mode

• Very happy to be getting new kitchen counters! Once again, I appreciate the basic style. These counters should blend in nicely with a variety of interior styles.

Main Menu Update

• It's definitely an improvement over what we had, but it doesn't come close to the Refreshed Main Menu by SimMattically. I do like that our household is on full display in the centre, but that's about all I like. I hate shades of blue, it's one of the worst colours to use with digital displays/monitors if you suffer with eye problems.
• Also, I am so over this new font that they keep using. It's terrible, and I wish they'd just go back to using Kabel or The Sims Sans again.

Base Game Home Updates

• Sure, I think this one was long overdue. However, if they're only going to update certain lots, instead of all of them, then what's really the point?
• On a side note, I actually liked the exterior of the Garden Essence lot as it was originally, I think it just needed more outdoor furnishing and landscaping.

Hybrid Kits and Creator Kits

• Honestly, I kinda just don't care anymore. Unless it's a theme that I'm really interested in (such as the Atomic Age) then I just feel indifferent. I usually pick them up at some point.
• I am a little curious about Madlen's Business Chic kit. Those stilettos look high and I'm here for it! I get tired of kitten heels and mid heels, so it's nice that we're getting proper high heels for once. Let's see how they look in-game first though.
