- Get Together is a must have for EPs. The club system adds so much to game play and what you want to do in the game. The world is stunning as well. Love the darts, foosball, and other assorted activities. (DJs, dance skill) etc.
For GPs, Dine Out is my favorite, but I also can't see my game without Spa Day or Outdoor Retreat! They all add to the game experience imo.
As to Sps, I have several that I love and I think Backyard Stuff is possibly my top one. Love the slide, bird feeders and wind chimes. ( and the 6 seater patio table!)
Kids stuff is good too for, well, kids stuff! I love Romantic Garden for the fountain and landscaping options.
Really, you can't go wrong with anything you add.
Oh! Movie stuff is also great! And Vintage Stuff! And Patio Stuff! I never bought Luxury party or Cool Kitchens though so can't comment on them. - Willowana9 years agoSeasoned AceI really haven't cared for Get Together, but I'm also not a social simmer lol. So I guess it really depends on your gameplay. If you are more family oriented, movie stuff and kids stuff are great. If you love cooking, apartment living or festivals, City Living is great. All depends on what kinds of stories you want to create.
- EP : City living, simply for the fact that this feel like another game
GP : Spa day, i love the cas item and the yoga
SP : Kids room, Movie hangout stuff both for gameplay and cas item - I only have the base game, but watching some reviews and gameplays on YouTube, this is my opinion:
BEST EP: Between GT and CL, I would probably choose City Living as it has more gameplay (GT only offers the Club system, Windenburg, 2 new skills, changes in social events and few objects with gameplay). While CL offers:
- Apartments
- Festivals
- 3 new careers with the option to work from home
- Karaoke skill
- New collectibles
- Objects that allow you to sell on the street or make a garage sale
- Different types of fireworks
- New recipes
- More objects with gameplay, etc...
BEST GP: The most complete so far is Vampires, but if you don't like playing with supernaturals, then you can choose Dine Out. You can build a restaurant, choose the menu, the uniform of the staff, visit and manage it. I also think that Spa Day is a very complete pack, the problem is that it's something that you probably will not use every day, but the objects are perfect for building modern houses and elegant bathrooms. Restaurants are also something you will not use every day, but the option to buy and manage a restaurant adds more gameplay.
BEST SP: Kids Room adds many objects that can also be used in teenagers rooms or other areas of the house, but if you want a gameplay object for all ages, then I recommend you Backyard Stuff. Choosing an Stuff Pack depends on whether you are going to use both the gameplay object and the rest of the content. - alan6509 years agoSeasoned AceI would heartily recommend City Living and Get Together. I am surprised at how much I love to be in the city because in past "city expansions" I never was impressed by the city life at all. City Living actually adds cultural diversity and that is more what cities are about instead of just clubbing. However, the karaoke skill is thoroughly entertaining! I also dig living in apartments more than I ever thought I would. I love the feeling of a gritty and dirty apartment that my sim has to deal with. The city views are also gorgeous! Get Together is excellent primarily because of the clubs because they are so versatile. You can really get creative over what you want a club to accomplish. For example, you can make a dancing club that has a rival with another club by setting rules how you want. You could also create a club that functions as a family reunion by only adding family members and choose what activities you want them to partake in. Also, with the clubs, activities are constantly being added so it is ever-changing! There is also an awesome mod you can get that adds a ton of club rules.
My favorite game packs are Dine Out and Vampires. Restaurants are excellent for outings. The vampires are very fleshed out and fun!
My favorite stuff packs are most definitely Backyard Stuff and Movie Hangout Stuff. I am in love with the wind chimes and bird feeders that came with Backyard Stuff. The wind chimes are so relaxing and add great ambiance. I have houses where I go crazy and add them to almost every wall. I love the detail that you can change the pitch of them too! Movie Hangout Stuff has a lot of cool bojo items that are very colorful and bold if you are into that kinda thing! The movies are also a fun thing to do with your sims. There is even an interaction that lets each sim choose their favorite movie genre too! - I love both CL & GT but I can't imagine playing without GT. I use the club system a lot and Windenburg is my favorite world. The clubs are by far my favorite thing in the game. I use the build/buy items in nearly every build in some way or another.
GPs are tougher for me to choose from. I'm loving the new Vampire pack and I use SD and OR a ton but overall I'd say DO has been the best for my game play. I love taking my sims out and seeing other sims in resturaunts having dinner with their families or friends or spouses. The customization in the resturaunts is great too for creating unique little places for my sims to go out.
SPs it's a tie between Backyard and Kids. Nearly every kid in my game collects void critter cards and uses the puppet theater in the park so Kids probably has a little more use for me. I love the wind chimes, water slide and bird feeder in Backyard though. The big round table is also a must for every house in the neighborhood that has a patio. - montello39 years agoNew AceI can't say what you should get but you most definitely should not purchase Luxury Party Stuff or Spooky Stuff. Useless packs. Of course though, it's my opinion.
- AfterMidnight139 years agoSeasoned NewcomerBest EP: Get Together. The club system is very useful and makes for some great ways to play. There are a lot of Buy/build items along with CAS and the world of Windenburg is beautiful. It doesn't add a ton in terms of new gameplay, though. Also, clubs are currently broken atm so keep that in mind.
Best GP: I haven't played it yet, but Vampires looks amazing to me. The wall detailings alone are enough to make me want to buy that pack. However, If you're not into supernaturals, I'd go with either Dine Out or Spa Day. Both add a lot of build/buy content which can be used outside of restaurants/spas. SD's gameplay is more subtle than DO's, but I find I'm always using the wellness skill to keep my sims fit. DO also has quite a few annoying bugs at the moment in terms of running your own restaurant, but dining out works great.
Best SP: Movie Hangout is probably my favorite SP thus far. I really like the style they went for in that pack, and the movies are fun to watch with your sims, but the buy/build might not be for you if you're not into loud & colorful furniture. I would also recommend Vintage Glamour, the latest SP. A lot of the stuff is beautiful and quite versatile. Plus, there's two new beds. We could always use more beds in TS4. - EP City Living
GP Dine Out
SP Backyard Stuff but if you want hottubs you'll need to get Patio Stuff. "MrMonty96;15523300" wrote:

Spooky Stuff was one of the best. It's more like a mini gamepack plus now it goes great with Vampires. A lot of the buystuff in spooky stuff can be combined with the buy items in vampires.
