I can't say what you should get but you most definitely should not purchase Luxury Party Stuff or Spooky Stuff. Useless packs. Of course though, it's my opinion.
Spooky Stuff was one of the best. It's more like a mini gamepack plus now it goes great with Vampires. A lot of the buystuff in spooky stuff can be combined with the buy items in vampires.
I love the Spooky Stuff for my historical ghosts and vampires  - Ep Get together
Gp Dine Out
Sp Kids Room - EP: city living; although I wish apartments were fully customizable and I had the ability to place them in other worlds. I still enjoy this EP over the others. I love the city itself. The food carts, the cas items and the buy/build items very much.
GP: vampires all the way. Having more fun with this pack then any other ever. Fully fleshed out vampires amazing! The build/buy is awesome too! ..Now if only I could design my own apartment building with all the cracks and tears in it....
SP: torn between romantic garden and the newest one, vintage glamour?? Can't remember the name, lol. But I love the build/buy stuff in both these packs. Up until recently much of the decor was modern and bright and I like that too, but I really also love Victorian goth. Old money vs new money if you will. I think the win goes to vintage one cause new beds. Finally new beds!!! I know city living added a few too. But love the ones in this pack.
Also honorable mention for the kids stuff pack as it gave my kiddos so much more to do. - EP: Get Together. The club system added so much potential to do all kinds of things with. I love making all sorts of different clubs to do so many things for. The system could be better, but it definitely added a lot of fun for me. Plus, I love Windenburg, and it added some of my favorite NPC Sims of the series.
GP: Dine Out. It's simple, but fun. I have no desire to own/run a restaurant, but I'm happy the exist in the game. Dates felt so boring in this game without them (they're still not all that fun, but they're better)
SP: Movie Hangout Stuff. If for nothing else, I just love watching the Sims' reactions to watching a scary movie. Always fun. - iriefthi9 years agoNew ScoutEP: Get Together
GP: Dine Out
SP: Vintage Glamour, Kid's Room - simsimsere9 years agoSeasoned AceEP: Get Together, but City Living isn't too bad either. I couldn't do without the clubs, but not everyone cares about them so consider your own gameplay. Both worlds are lovely, where do you want your sim to live? Windenburg island is quite isolated and rarely has visitors. That can be useful if you want to play castaway or something. San Myshuno comes with apartment traits an noisy neighbours that can spice up things. Both EPs improve the social lives of sims as they'll get invitations to go to parties (GT) or festivals (CL).
GP: Any of them is a good choice, but I am in love with these vampires. They're the best ever.
SP: My favourite is Romantic Garden Stuff because of the plants, wishing well and male CAS. But the gameplay item I use most (from SPs I have) is the hot tub from Perfect Patio. - Pegasyms9 years agoSeasoned AceI enjoy all the EPs, GPs and SPs I've acquired. It's hard to say which ones are the best, they all kind of build on each other. However, here are the ones that I end up using the most:
EP - This is a hard choice - City Living adds great ambiance and I love the apartments and different lot traits.
I enjoy GTW - the careers are pretty cool and I love having retail. Admittedly the retail is not as in-depth as TS2's OFB which is disappointing; I am hopeful that they revisit a few things and flesh out retail even more, though I'm not holding my breath.
However it turns out I use the Club system from Get Together *a lot*. At first, by itself, the club system doesn't seem very exciting... however it's one of those features that once you figure out how you can use it in a wide variety of ways, it greatly expands gameplay. So in a weird way even though GT is less exciting, I end up using its features the most.
GP - A toss-up. Dine Out is great, I use it with all my households, taking them out to eat. I haven't explored owning a restaurant yet.
Vampires is an amazing GP too - great gameplay, the vampires are very fleshed out. But if you're not really into vampires maybe not the best GP choice.
I like Outdoor Retreat and Spa Day too; these are well done packs, I just don't use them as much as Dine Out / Vampires at this time.
SP - I only have a few SPs. I have Movies, Kids Room, and Patio Stuff. I use the hot tubs and the movie interactions a lot. - EP: Get Together -- The club system is great for gathering Sims; I often set up a club just with the young adult and up family members before I move them out so that it's easier to gather them for family events, and to keep them united after the parents have died. And it's expandable as new content is added.
GP: Spa Day -- I would have said Vampires but I know supernaturals aren't everyone's cup of chai. While Spa Day doesn't really offer much for kids (I wish they could do yoga to build Motor skill), it's got a lot to offer everyone else. I especially like to have my elders take up yoga and meditation so it gives them something to do. And there are some beautiful Build Mode textures and objects that are great if you're into building and design.
SP: With the addition of toddlers, I think Kids Room is the best of the stuff packs; much of the content in Kids Room coordinates well with what we got in the toddler patch, so it's a seamless transition from one age to another. I also like Movie Hangout because there's a lot of colorful furniture, and you can watch the movies on any TV (you don't need to use the big screens that came with the pack) and they're fun to just sit and watch along with your Sims. If you tend to play wealthy Sims, I'd go with Vintage Glamour for the butler and the furniture, especially the new double beds and the full length mirror (which has 3 lengths to suit any wall height). Luxury Party is fairly niche, but I like the buffet tables and drink fountains for my wedding venues. And some of the Build items in Spooky Stuff do mesh well with the vampire pack, such as the floorboards and some of the wall coverings. If you can get either one on a sale (possibility with the anniversary sale for this month) they're a decent buy.- ladybreid9 years agoSeasoned Ace#1-Toddler patch
