Better at building community or residential?

I’m definitely better at building homes I’d say. I don’t often have the proper kind of vision for a community lot, so I usually download those from the gallery. I like building smaller homes - not necessarily tiny homes from tiny living (though I do love the challenge of those). I never know how to fill large spaces nicely. I like the cozy feel of furnishing a smaller home for sure

I build a lot of homes but hardly any community lots. I'm more inspired by house designs.

I used to prefer building residential lots, but I've built a lot of community lots this year. I don't think it makes a difference for me anymore.

idk i feel like id really struggle if someone told me to build bar or gym or park out of nowhere with no research time cause like eeeeh? what would i even build i need specific idea to make it any fun at all

like with homes its more like location and does it fit the family i have and if no family just imagine fun one and make it look nice or less nice and easy to play and lmao here you already made house of some kind

I make many multipurpose lots i tag as community like castles, temples, villages, party houses, performance venues etc. but even if i end up loving them it always takes so much more time and effort and pure luck to finish one that nah i cant really say id be community lot wizard

I definitely prefer to build houses, I have never built a community lot in TS4 (or TS3). I've only ever built community lots in TS1 and TS2, but I have modified many, many community lots. I often turn some community lots I've downloaded, like restaurants, into houses too because I liked the shape and design of the build and the landscaping, so I just gut the inside and make a house floor plan.

I build what I think my sims' need, whether it be a home or community lot. But I think I prefer building homes, because I will always build their homes while I'm willing to get some community lots from the gallery.

I feel like I lean more toward residential lots but I do a fair amount of community lots. I think I prefer building cafes and restaurants to bars and nightclubs. I think it's because I use those lots more than bars. It all really depends on what I think each world needs most.

I have built both. But, I enjoy building community lots best. The only houses that really look good of mine are ones that I have seen in real life.

I play far more than I build so I am definitely better with homes because I build them around particular families and their needs.

Definitely prefer building residential lots because I have a clear vision of how to personalise them based on the needs of the Sims living in them.

Still, I'm trying to challenge myself by building more community lots. Recently finished building a restaurant! :)
