BFF?

Yes I am also stuck at this, 1/5 BFF with 3 other sims being at max friendship but only Good Friends.
Maybe someone can shed some light here?

If you can only have 1 BFF at a time which looks the case here then its extremely messed up. This means now my sim has to be mean with his wife (BFF) to the point they are disliked/enemies so I can make another BFF and then do the same until I get 5 BFF.
The achievement says "Have Had 5 BFF's". I am 99% sure this means you can't have more then 1 bff at the same time, so to make it short you need to get your relationship all the way to max with 1 sim, become bff with them then do mean interactions to become enemy and repeat it 5 times to complete "THE SUPER FRIENDLY" aspiration.
Maxis if this is the case then please look at it.

That is pretty messed up if that is the case, that doesn't seem like friend of the world material to me, lol.

Does anyone else have any additional information on this other than this theory? I am not saying the theory is wrong because I am having the same problems as others who have posted here. Let me put the question another way. Has anyone had a sim have more than one BFF? If so, how did you achieve it? Did you have to do something to discontinue being BFF's with the first one before having another? If that is the case, I am going to have to ditch this aspiration and try another. I am not going to befriend 5 sims, then make them enemies 5 times. That's just stupid.

Grant answered in one of his early ask gurus, that it is glitched, but they are looking into it.

OK. So I am hoping that someone has done this that can confirm that this is even possible. How far does the relationship actually have to drop?

I think I am going to ditch if my sim has to turn her spouse into an enemy in order to become a "Friend of the World."

I think what I will do is play the game as fairly as I can. Max the green bar on 5 sims and then use the cheat to check off the aspiration.

I had the same issues. searched some forums for a better way and only I found was an aspirations cheat code. after turning "testingcheats on" type "Aspirations.complete_current_milestone" will get you past that milestone and complete the aspirations. might help for a workaround for now till someone finds a better way...

ok, so i was here just to know if i can make a guy my best friend and afterwards marry him, and i kinda have my answer in hands, so i think is just fair to give y'all (i don't know if you are still with this same problem, so...) a answer: there's a cheat called 'have multiple bffs (updated)' on mod the sims. i think - THINK! - i can post the link right below, so...

if you don't like downloading stuff or/and don't think this mod is what you want - read the instructions first, i recommend-, i suppose the only known way is to drop down the relationship and declare enemy, maybe? (or just drop down a bit the relationship, uhu. ignore him when his at your door, or calling you... yeah, be a bitch).

Ignore the cheat, devs promised changing the aspiration 5 BFF goal in next or careers patch.
There is also mod that changes 5 BFF shuffle requirement into getting 10 good friends.

20 BFF achievement will probably still stay as is (it's not hard to achieve).

FWIW, I have been able to do this without alienating friends. My Sim had a BFF. They argued (she initiated mean interactions) until they were no longer BFFs. Then she begged forgiveness, made a smooth apology, and talked her right back up into being good friends, but did not ask her to be BFF. This took .. what, 2 Sim-hours, maybe? She made another BFF, rinse, repeat. I knew about this, so I made sure not to make her first 4 BFFs family members. Anyway, it was not traumatic or awful. She's still good friends with the first 4 BFFs, and she completed the Friend of the World aspiration.
