Bicycle...Bicycle!!

i'm glad that there's bicycles... not because we finally have a mode of transportation, but its kind of an i told you so to those that have been asking for cars because i knew it'd be met with a loading screen. Sometimes I still see people ask for cars and i think to myself, have...have you forgotten about the loading screen? anyways I personally like the bicycle because even though there are loading screens the neighborhoods are rather large and rather speeding up the time x3 i can bike everywhere now <3
  • The Sims 2 had loading screens and it handled cars amazingly, better than 3’s cars. I think the reason why people like myself still beg for cars is because of realism. Having sims just run off the lot into thin air is boring, and it’s not fun to look at. But if they were as animated as TS2; they could open the door, drive out the drive away and drive off (into a loading screen of course) that’s at least more interesting and realistic. It’s also because of the simple fact that every iteration had cars, including The Sims 1 and even Freeplay.
  • Not to forget that driving wasn’t the only interaction. We could repair cars, woohoo in cars and listen to radio!

Sims 2 had cars and loading screens and I still loved those cars seeing as I never got into Sims 3 that's all I'm really use to. I don't want my Sim to poof everywhere nor do I expect my Sim to travel the world everywhere on foot its not realistic in anyway I don't care if the driving ends at the driveway and the loading screen pops up and I only see my Sim getting out of the car in the lot he's traveled to. Give me garages and the ability to work on cars, car woohoo and radios, npcs with firetrucks and police cars that visit my lots on emergencies to have modern day worlds and no cars is just weird.
  • As other users are saying, it would be nice to have cars to be able to add that element of realism. It's kind of weird having your Sim just teleport places. Like do they just have really great public transportation in the Sims 4 world or something? xD I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate not having to buy a car to go anywhere, that's great, but it'd still be nice to have things like a garage that you can't really effectively have in Sims 4. I mean, you could build one, but it wouldn't serve any purpose. Unless you're like our family irl who doesn't even use the garage for cars and uses it for storage instead lol!! One of the downsides to living in Texas where there aren't any basements in houses!!!
  • All very true comments I hadn’t thought about that. I’ve been so stuck in the sims three And being able to drive from lot to lot that I forgot sims 2 had cars too!

Don't forget in TS2 you could assign your vehicle as your carpool so then your Sim could drive off to work (if you had more than one Sim) and then they would drive the car back into the drive way park it and lock the car when they got out.

You could also carpool together so imagine the kids getting in the vehicle and then mom or dad driving the kids to school on their way to work.

TS2 did cars best and we still had loading screens.

Sims 4 making the "transportation" section means it's only a matter of time until cars come along! I can feel it in my bones!
