Store worlds like Auro Skies and store sets like More Magic or the Mid Century series defined TS3 more than any pack and had more content than 7 TS4 EPs. The closing of the store was one of the fatal flaws of TS4 (the other was the back-to-the 90s re-introduction of closed worlds).

Completely agree. The Stuff Packs aren't enough? If we get a store, people will be flipping out even more about "splitting content". Instead of ten bucks for a category of items, we'd be spending five for an outfit. But I wouldn't be surprised if they added a store. Microtransactions and all that. Everyone is doing it. :/

I'm surprised they actually said it's a "big" announcement. That does make it sound like a structural change of some sort or the addition of something that's in demand. But I don't want to think on a large scale because disappointment is inevitable. It could be one of those things that they've said they're working on like a pond tool or swimming in all worlds. Yeah, I'm gonna go with that for now. The only things I'm actually interested in for base game adjustments at this point are Fear, something that adds to or improves Sim personalities, or overhauls of core mechanics.
