Biggest problem for me with the HS pack so far (may be spoilers)
The problem I'm finding is the Sims 4 length of an hour (or in total, a day). It always seemed too short to me in regular sim life; something breaks, you can't get your sim to do something and the day is pretty much totally shot because there's no wriggle room. But with this pack it gets worse.
I just played a full week of high school; doesn't mean I've seen everything, but gone to class, had lunches, went to football, went to a competition, and did prom. I can tell you the first thing I'm going to do is build a much smaller school. There's no point in 11 students (that's all I get, I guess. Why we can't get a setting to adjust this limit is beyond me; my computer can handle a lot more) having these vast empty halls that eat up big chunks of time walking through. Even so, you eat, go to class, talk to a couple of students, do some studying, and the day is pretty much over. You can hang out, but not for long if you have football. You run off to that and disappear, then reappear at home, having done the rabbit hole thing. Kind of pointless.
By the way, I wish the teachers would stay out of the lunchroom at lunch time. My teen isn't there to interact with them; there's not much time as it is. And it feels like "Don't stand so close to me" by the Police should be playing in the background.
Prom was only 7-11. Four hours. Danced a couple of times (even suddenly slow danced with Hugo Villareal, but that's another annoying story). It was just over way too quickly. There was an after party which lasted all of an hour before all but one person left.
I know there's no way around it now that the game is built this way, but if a day was, say, 1/4 again longer it would be so much better. And I'd just as soon have class be a rabbit hole like university if I can't do anything but listen and take notes while sitting there. Why can't I pass notes? Or throw a paper airplane at the teacher's back? Or shoot a spit wad? Or break out singing? And get sent to the principal's office.
I know I'm going to start a new game, probably with only sims in Copperdale. I'd rather play a small town ( which I thought I was doing with only 25 families) where all the teens in town can show up, than different ones every day because I'm only allowed ten. I hope a better modder than me can find a way to allow more students.
Other than that, not sure what to think, yet. I have to streamline my game and see what I can make of it, because there looks to be a lot of cool smaller stuff if I can find a way to have the time to experience it.
