Birth Dates on Calendar

First off, I just got Season and have only played for a total of five, almost six Sims days. I had to ask about how to get to the calendar, and then remembered the lessons section inside the game. D'oh. This family was all created together in CAS. What I've noticed is that my two toddlers have their birthdays marked on separate days, which is good. But all three of their older brothers share the same birthday! This is a disaster.

I planned on aging them up one at a time, to show birth order, as I have done almost from the beginning. Is there a way to change out just whose birthday it is? Or will all three boys age up to teen at once?

Mind you, I've yet to get to a birthday on the calendar, as I've only played for five full days. I also set each season to last two weeks. I play rotation, and after initially going back and forth, between households, (sometimes even in midday on the very same day), I finally realized playing for a whole week works best in Sims4. I also only have aging on for the active household.

I love the notion that the birthday is on the calendar, and I can't wait to see what happens, but I don't want all three boys to become teens at once. They should be about 'two' years (Sims days) apart. I'm also worried that this will continue throughout their Long lives. If I can move their birthdays, I'd be one very happy camper.

If anyone has an answer, I would greatly appreciate any pointers at this point. Please, and thank you, in advance. I love Seasons!

The only thing I can think of is to manually age up the “oldest” one 4 days before the marked birthday, and the “middle” one 2 days before, then leave the “youngest” one alone (assuming you have that many days before the birthday). I think it will then space their birthdays on the calendar, but I’m not 100% on that.

Edit: maybe save right before you try so you can exit without losing anything if it doesn’t work well, or test it with a new save first.

Thank you! I shall have to give that a try. I'm used to playing on Long and aging them all up when I was 'ready'. This feels a tad constraining to me, but as long as I can age him up manually, then it'll be worth it. I'll just have to make sure he earns as many of his Values as possible while a child.

I wish you luck! I’m torn on how I feel about it as well, I like that birthdays show up but wish we had more control. I’m fine with using MCC to set the days before aging on my Sims, but I know many Simmers don’t like mods and I completely understand that too.

I use MCCC, too. Twice I set it for X numbers of days per age level, following the instructions to exit the game and restart. Twice, it has failed. I've got the latest version 4.4.4 and confess, I haven't tried again. Like I said, I tend to age up my Sims when I'm ready. ;) I do love the fact that their birthdays show up on said calendar. Having not made it to the first one posted, yet, I can't wait to see what happens. Do we just get a 'reminder' as before, only using a different method. Or, what? I'll find out with the first girl. I'm happy to say, they have the first daughter (by order of how they were created) up for a birthday before her younger sister. :)

MCC was updated again. 4.4.5. I don't believe it fixes any aging issues, though.
  • My sim started off with the same birthday because of course they were made pre-seasons. The mother got to be a few sim days younger due to her first pregnancy. Her birthday was going to fall on love day. When the 2nd pregnancy came I forgot to turn on aging for pregnancy and now her birthday is in summer. If I want my Sims to be different ages I will cheat them enough aspiration points for a youth potion in the beginning and then have them drink them accordingly

Ugh, I always forget that pregnancy does that in this game thanks for reminding me, I better go fix that setting now. That's one Sim power I wish I had IRL, instead the kiddos just cause me gray hair :#

Of course a new version is out. I'm not home. :/ LOL But thank you for the heads up. :D When I finally get back I'll update right away!

I’m guessing it could be due to MCCC just being a hot fix right now, hopefully it works once fully updated. I did get a birthday reminder the day before (same as it’s always been) for my toddler and he aged up a bit early with the cake just fine.

I'm afraid I wasn't very clear. In the past, I've tried to set the age levels to last X amount of days. Both times, it failed. And while I had the latest version of MCCC when I wrote that post, I just haven't tried to set the lengths again. Hot fixes are basically, from what I have experienced, the same as the released mod, with the 'fixes' built in.
