May I ask why they have extended the time for the event
Just a theory, but I'm guessing it was due to all the bugs some people reported about. I've played these reward events without trouble, which I think is due to the fact that I'll play them Base Game only - disable all other packs I have and no mods enabled. This was the first event that ever gave me a hiccup... because there was a lack of foresight in what things counted as doing a task.
My case was the "insta-fix" my Sim had for the computer. Many had that problem along with some who had unbreakable computers. There was also the case of fixing a broken object. Unlike the convenient computer bust, you had to wait around for something to break... anything to break. It seems that was all on case of chance, rather than an automatic occurrence put into the event. Then there were just players who had the misfortune of their mods conflicting with things set up in the event and thus impeding their process.
Lots of buggy goodness. When not all players' games are equal and even those who just have the game at bare bones having problems... "Okay, Simmers... we see we really screwed up again this time and that a lot of you are unhappy. We have fixed the oversights and notes have been taken regarding to mods and cc that are not compatible... The event should now run smoothly for everyone if they take responsibility of whether their mods/cc are causing the problem or not. For this, we are giving an extension period for those who could not complete things previously."
