Initially I wanted to post two really creepy occult Sims (The Banshee and her cat Skull), but I decided against it because...I dunno...gosh I have so, so many terrifying looking Sims in my game, I'd only be causing ye nightmares, especially with no access to a spoiler button.
So instead of that I will share a build that I've had in my game for a while now.
This is a fully functional, residential Fairy Mound. 🧚🏻♀️⬇️
It has a medium sized cavesystem, meaning that the residential area is entirely underground. The cave is accessible through an old wooden door.
Inspired by several ancient Passage Tomb monuments (found on my wee island), I made sure the cave's entrance faces Sim East (in Henford), so that for a few moments at sunrise the main living quarters of the cave are flooded with natural light. Winter/Summer solstice 'n' all that.
It has room for 8 + Sims, no CC, (dang I really wish I could put all this nonsense under a spoiler) and it's perfect for the fairies we do not have yet, or werebeasts, because tunnels. Or Witchy auld hags. Whatever you wish, really.
I'm looking forward to sharing my Fairy Mound on the gallery with you all once I'm back online again! Not entering Update Land just yet for I need to make sure all the current gamebreaking bugses are forever-ish gonno.
Okay maybe I will share my creepy sims after all, let me deal with this internal conflict for a moment. 💀
EDITED TO ADD: The Fairy Hill is now available HERE!
Oooh! Like Newgrange! I've always wanted to see Newgrange during its sunlight peak, but I hear it's quite backed up for the winter solstice. Love this so much! 🖤
Also...show us your Banshee! I definitely want to see your creepy occults!

Thank you! 💚
100%! My main inspiration for the correct positioning of the mound was Newgrange! There are several of these amazing "tombs" on the site, but Newgrange is definitely the most famous one. It's also much older than the Great Pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge. Historians claim it's a burial tomb, some locals insist that it is a portal to The Otherworld. I've been there myself a couple of times and I can confirm: it's most certainly the latter. 😇
In order to have a chance of becoming a Winter Solstice Dawn Watcher you'd have to enter the Solstice lottery. As far as I know anyone in the world can enter, but -since it's a lottery- it's a really tough one to win as not many people fit inside the chamber (I believe it's limited to 20) and there's only about 4 to 5 days of solstice dawn. Obviously Mayor Whiskers will be one of the lucky winners to get a clear morning.
People that go on daily tours get a taste of what Solstice dawn is like thanks to artificial lighting, and although it's not the same as pure sunlight, it's still impressive.
Small print: The passage leading to the chamber is very low and narrow in places, so this is not for folks who may suffer from claustrophobia and/or are afraid of the dark.Did I sell this one? 😅
Creepy occults incoming...

Now you got me wondering about the sun that shines straight into my room and wakes me up at about 7:30 every morning. 😎

Hmmm interesting...you must be living in a very special burial tomb. 😜

Definitely sold it! I love ancient places, besides Newgrange, I have a whole list of old world anomalies that I'd love to see. Like you mentioned, Stonehenge, the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, and also Machu Picchu, Easter Island, ancient temples and lost cities of Cambodia, Mayan Pyramids of Chichen Itza and Teotihuacan... gosh. I need to get out more.
Anyway, great job on that, and if you decide to create anymore replicas of the ancient world, do please let me know. My Sims could use their own version of the "Seven Wonders. 😊

Aw stop, every single ancient wonder that you mentioned after Stonehenge (🤍 ) hasn't been ticked off my bucketlist yet, and so much more, like Petra in Jordan, Göbekli Tepe, Luxor, etcetera etcetera times 30, plus many, many National Parks.
Sometimes I wish I was a cat, why do they get more lives than us, huh!? This ain't fair. I suppose this is the reason why some people become vampires.Building ancient temples and other historical structures is one of my favourite things to do in TS4, so you're at the right adress! I have a bunch of WIP builds that I plan to complete and share over the summer. Usually I don't take requests mainly because I cannot promise when a build will be complete due to my busy schedule, but I've got a bit of time to kill right now, so if there's anything specific that you'd like let me know- I'd be more than happy to give it a shot! 😃
