EA is not going to announce Sims 5 this year. Seasons is coming out - they can announce and preview that, and it'll get excitement enough, like Cats&Dogs did.
I don't think there will be a Sims 5. Rather than looking at it from a 'respecting the players' PV, it doesn't make sense financially. There's so much missing from the game - so many packs that EA can yet make money out of. Stuff Packs can always be rolled out, the Jungle Adventure proves that future Vacations will be another reason to release Game Packs, since every special location will clearly get its own Pack. Then there's all the Supernatrual packs, and it's very likely they will be released separately too. I personally predict some kind of pack for Horses in due time - possibly integrated with a way to take your pets to pet shows...
And every Expansion takes a whole year to make - there will be some kind of 'Showtime/Late Night' styled expansion pack in which you get famous, seeing as every previous game had it. Probably a University Life-type EP to make school more fun.
Why hire a new team for a Sims 5 when it would only put people off expanding the game? Besides, EA isn't big on sequels right now...
