I'm of the opinion that IF it is farming, it will be more on the scale of homesteading/smallholding that can conventionally fit in a sim's back garden (ie, no large scale industrial farming equipment), so a focus on self sustainability and crafts such as preserve making, cheesemaking, crafting and repairing clothes, and raising small animals such as chickens, maybe a goat or llama, even pigs and hunting if they are willing to go there. (Gardening is already way too OP in the game to even consider farming crops). A more country or backwoods living pack rather than a Kansas simulator.
But it could also be wilderness survival, or a naturalist science approach to nature such as studying jungle or ocean biomes, or any other number of outdoor activities.
