- handelgamerSeasoned TravelerI dunno. My first idea is wildlife which...interesting.
-whispers- how do we get Outdoor Retreat expanded into an expansion without stepping on it's toes? ...that Snowy Escape somewhat did already but shhh. - Rey_EstupendoNew TravelerWasn't "Scottish highlands" one of the world options a while back on one of the surveys?
Maybe this will be the farming pack that people have been wanting. I'm curious to see what could be done with a farming pack that makes it more than just "big gardens," but I'd probably be more interested in a new world and new CAS and BB stuff than in a different way to grow plants. But since it's an EP, it seems like there should be some big game-changing gameplay options. Maybe "farm" as a lot type, that you can then run as a sort of business.
The tease says "bond with nature" and "charming," though. "Bond with nature" makes me think of plantsims more than it makes me think of faeries and werewolves, unfortunately. I mean, I like plantsims and all, but I have plans that I really want werewolves and faeries for. Plantsims ... I guess I can find a use for them.*
"Charming" makes me think of fairy tales (and I know there's been some talk with people wanting a fairy tale/medieval expansion). But not particularly of farming, faeries, werewolves, or plantsims. Maybe it's highlands + farming + cottagecore CAS and BB stuff + some life state.
EDIT: The footnote.
* My current game is a save I made with a bunch of sitcom characters. I want to do a save based on Disney parks, but I really want werewolves for Beast, and fairies for Tinkerbell, Malificent, and others. If I ever do a purely superhero-based save, I guess I could work in Swamp Thing and Poison Ivy as plantsims. "bixters;c-17883179" wrote:

Going outside and meditating. Bond with nature.
I hope not. We already got meditation in Spa Day. And bonding with nature sounds too similar to Outdoor Retreat and Eco Lifestyle.
We also have sort of an outdoor meditation thing going with the mindfulness walks in SE.
Could be something where you're interacting more with wild animals rather than just having them be set dressing like in most of the packs."Daephene;c-17883414" wrote:
I think the safari/wildlife preserve is a neat idea but I don't know how charming it would be, so I'm going to stick with my fairy/werewolf combo theory, maybe with additional shapeshifters.
I've never been right yet but there's a first time for everything so we'll see.
That could include parts of options 2-5 on the list, but I do hope they don't combine any occults with farming. Deliberately setting up realism players to be annoyed by the new occult would make for some really obnoxious online arguments and probably the nerfing of what the occult players want.
I don't see them devoting an EP to occults, not after others like vampires andwitchesspellcasters only getting GP treatment. I could maybe see them taking PlantSims and improving them so they're more a permanent occult state if players choose to incorporate them in their game. That could be one of the base game updates coming this summer.- LoanetRising ScoutDo you bond with nature by being a werewolf? Occults should NOT be treated as Niche.
Or if it's a farming pack, maybe they can finally take the basic Plantsims and make them fully functional? That would be so great. - Ceridwen_aeSeasoned NewcomerI'm hoping it's farming, but with llamas or other "different" animals - so long as it includes highland cows, of course - on a freehold (freehold is generational if you like), larger plots surrounded by green, gentle rolling hills or big mountains. Farmer's market included, more veg and fruit growing, and also werewolves. I will build the Slaughtered Lamb!

Representation ‘n all you know? - Politically correct werewolves. I love it!
