Bored

My sis are all spellcasters. Mom and dad had 2 kids also spellcasters. The oldest aged into Y/A and is now out in the world livin his best life with his younger teenage sister at home with mom and dad. He is also living with a spellcaster. They both graduated early.

My problem is I'm bored. This is 7th generation, and everything is too perfect. I need some spice, a little or a lot of drama. I'm all about the drama 😂 but any ideas? Everyday is the same routine.

Maybe one of the spellcasters can turn to the dark side.

I've thought about this and I like this idea. LOL I feel guilty for making my good sims misbehave.

I know exactly what you mean!

I tend to create some extra characters who I haven't already played and introduce them into my sims lives as evil/bad/to create havoc. That way, my previous good sims can stay good lol. Eg. one of my sims ended up marrying an evil sim, but she didn't know he was evil until it was too late. She had to put up with a lot, and then he finally threw her out onto the street and she had no money, no other clothes and no home to live in. Then in comes a rags-to-riches type of play.

Or I've had a good sim fall under the sway of Don Lothario and end up pregnant and then he ditched her so she was raising a baby all by herself. Add extra spice with fertility treatment and maybe the sim will end up raising triplets alone!

If they were spellcasters, they could eventually take their revenge on the bad sim with some appropriate spells ;)

I got bored with my Sims 4 game back in 2019. Then in 2020, I decided to completely make different timeline game saves. It took quite alot of time because I needed to first delete all lots in each world, except Newcrest & Sulani. I only play Vanilla, but I used alot of my packs to build up most of my worlds & that was even before Mt. Komorebi, Henford, Copperdale, Moonwood, Sequoia & Chestnut Ridge. Now, each have been updated since then.
    I now have an:
Ancient Times to Dark Ages game save with Biblical & Mythological Households
Medieval to Enlightenment game save with Historical, Fantasy & Fairy Tale Households
Georgian to Victorian game save with English Literature, Fantasy & Fairy Tale Households
Ragtime to Awesome 80s game save with mostly Popculture Households
Futuristic 2525 & Beyond game save with SiFi Households

I'm not bored anymore with my Sims 4. However, I just wish we could get a bit more SiFi packs like maybe a Time Traveling one.
    ;) :p B) <3
  • Try something else for a while :) a scenario, or new save, or play a premade family? Or, let your legacy family be NPCs for a bit, and play another family who maybe meets or interacts with them?
As long as you don't delete your legacy family (or their save file) you'll always be able to return to them when you feel like it.

I'm impressed it took you 7 generations to get bored. I usually only make it to the 4th.

Maybe you could create an opposing spellcaster family who has been enemies of your family for generations. The story could be they recently moved into town and are wreaking havoc on your sims' and other sims' lives. You could even go a little "Romeo & Juliet" with it.

That sounds fun. I kind of want to make 2 rival spellcaster dynasties now. I'm terrible at long-lasting games though,

Well, I take breaks for a long time until a new pack comes out I'm interested in. I thought Growing Together was one of the best so far.

I have a ton of ideas but none of the time and patience to execute them.

As for not having a long-lasting game, it doesn't have to span generations. You could just allude to the feud lasting generations, and your current sim's story could just be a part of that feud. The story ends when/how you want it to end. I've finally come to the realization that not all saves have to span multiple generations. I typically play it as a chapter in my sims' lives instead of make one story last my sims' entire lives. If that makes sense.
