- You don't need cheats or anything. It's the same process as how friendship works. When you for example try to introduce yourself to a pet and they don't like it and you get that little bit of red. What do you do? You make friendly interactions until its back down and now the green is showing. You do the same thing with the red in romance. My girl broke up with her college sweetheart and is now dating the girl she originally wanted who at first turned her down. Now that shes with her things dont feel right. So shes been reconnecting with her college sweetheart. It was full red. Now its down to almost nothing. It doesnt always work but if youre both in a good mood it works, especially if that sim is in a romantic mood.

Is this possible?
Yes, I guess so, but it's almost impossible. At least for me. The game ruined a married couple in my game. Both their relationship and romance bars where completely red, so I had them get a divorce. And no matter what I did to get them to be nice again, or apologize or find common ground or whatever, it would not happen. One or the other would insult before I could stop them. It became too much a hassle for me. No matter what emotional ornaments I put in their home. One would always queue up to ruin what I was trying to make the other do in the social skills. It went on for like five Sim weeks, I finally gave up and kicked the ex wife out to the homeless townie bin. They still hate each other.
The best way to deal with negative relationships without cheats is time apart until the red bar is gone. Call sims daily on the phone and have them chat on online. They're to polite to insult each other over the phone it seems. :D
