Breeding horses

Just wondering how I can make that happen?

Is there a certain object to click on, and how can I tell if the relation between two horses is high enough, especially if they belong to different households? Back in TS3 I think we could just send them to the Equestrian center, but it seems like a different business in TS4.

Anyone had a go yet?
  • @Simmerville I was curious too, so I looked it up online. There are videos on it, but the first answer I saw said to click on horse want to breed. Then will need to click on Friendly Interactions, then Encourage to..., then Encourage to breed with... That should bring up available horses for your horse to breed with. Need to have a good relationship between the horses for it to be successful. I couldn't find anything specific to how to find out what the relationship level is between 2 horses, but the AI said your relationship with both horses needs to be up. I think the list of available horses will only include the ones that have a good relationship with your horse. So if have a specific horse in mind for breeding, try it to see if that horse is on list and if not will need to work on that relationship. Good luck!
  • I would love to breed the horses, but the thought of having to eventually sell the little ones and make the parent horses sad, just makes me want to cry. I couldn't do it lol.

They should have made a horse club so your horse could meet other horses and get their relationships up. Not everyone wants to keep two horses or maybe you want to breed them with neighbor's champion horse or something.
  • Ah, thanks @maggiemae8135 and others! I'm not doing it immediately, so guess that's why I thought it was fine to debate it here rather than watch vids. Good to know that it will be the relation including the sim that counts, that one I can even cheat if needed :) Anyway, seems like a good idea to plan that breeding in advance, giving time to visit the lots where breeding candidates live.
