Was holding a handbag an option for all sims in TS2 or was Agnes just special and had her own NPC animations?

Agnes had own special animations/interactions. She at TS2 is not even a sim (no character data) , but an object (located at objects.package in installation location ).
Its interesting to hear this! But I think that's why npc in sims 2 functioned better. The fact that they are sims in ts4 makes they act like any other sim. Like if you speak to the tragic clown he might end up in your house playing the pc lol
While I do appreciate the option to add NPCs to your household and edit them in CAS, I do think that truly non-playable sims that come with their own set of code and unique interactions/traits could add some more fun to the game
