Of course they are, but there is nothing wrong if playing the canon.
To me , both Crumplebottom girls, Agnes and Cornelia, have their faith, Cornelia married Gunther, had Mortimer. Agnes in the other hand , in my canon, had something happened to her that she became so bitter :)- I've only played the sims 4 but I have seen gameplay of Mrs. Crumplebottom on youtube and I say "Heck Yes!" Bring that woman back! She seems like an absolute hoot and I'd love to have her in my game!
