Build mode won’t come up?

Can you show screenshots of where you are when it fails? Are you in manage worlds, or live mode...? Does it fail in both?

This happened to me the other day, I had a green button at the top of the page that took me back to manage worlds. I removed all my mods and it now works fine. I'm adding them back one at a time, so far so good,

Have you tried the function keys? F3 should take you to Build mode and F2 should take you to either Buy mode or Build mode. (Build mode the first time it's used and Buy mode after that.)

I thought I'd solved the problem, but it returned this morning.

I disabled mods in options, rebooted, did my build/buy stuff, enabled mods in options, rebooted, cariied on playing.

Very tedious, good luck.

Are you using a mod called ui_cheats_extension?

Updated to UI_Cheats_Extension_v1.16.2 and all appears well. Fingers crossed.

Have you already deleted localthumbcache.package and repaired your game?

I've been playing Sims for about 4 years without any problems, so I've never needed to investigate solutions.

I think the out of date mod was the problem, but I've done both the things you suggested just in case.
