Build/Buy Plants

I had stuck some tropical plants from the build/buy mode catalog on a lot in an older saved game of my. The plants are from JA. My sim just walked by these plants, and game camera was following. A thought about these plants and Winter popped into my head. Which led to a question,and that question is. Will these plants die over Winter?

    If they are just decoration they won’t die, if they are garden plants (like an avacodo tree) then they need to be in a greenhouse/indoors for the winter I believe.

    US/discussion/940199/seasons doesn't say what will happen to the plant from the catalog in winter. They say that the trees from that catalog will drop their leaves in fall and be dormant in winter. But nothing about the shrubs and flowers, which are the plants I'm referring to.

    You mean plants in buy mode? They'll be fine; they don't grow. You only have to worry about plants that you can plant in the ground and harvest.
