Builders, help! Can't seem to delete exterior trim

Okay, so I decided to try to fix up my own house for once, and let me tell you: my first experience building in TS4 hasn't been all that great. I've been stuck trying to change the color of this blast...

I tried, but the thing still remains and it says "nothing to delete." So, so so annoying. :expressionless: I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I couldn't possibly ignore this thing, and I've already been working on this lot for quite a while so it'd be so demotivating to have to end up deleting the whole thing just because of this one exterior trim... this game can be so frustrating.
