And yet this is the worst advise, ever. Nowadays you only need a little knowledege about building computers to make one. The extreme circunstance would be if he has completely zero knowledge about computers and components, but i dont think its the case.
EDIT: Reading more about the op i realized that he is completely clueless about computers.. so well in this case, building a pc from scratch could be a traumatic experience.
Thanks for your insight :) i'm going the "build my desktop" route because: first i agree with you, i think i can get better specs at better price doing so; second because i have a tech friend that will build it to me and make sure all the components are compatible. I just need to know what i'll need for sims 4 with all dlc and all that may be to come plus a handfull of mods (not much but mccc for sure).
About this info i think that simmers that are running the game at ultra high quality with all the packs could give me a good insight and that's why i'm asking your opinions :) i won't be alone in the building process, i wouldn't dare...
