Buy packs or save?

I have almost all packs so that probably tells you my asnwer. I enjoy TS4 a lot and can always find use for new stuff. The bundles are reasonably priced so I'd probably go for it. But if my budget was really tight I'd find a way to enjoy playing without those packs.

I think it depends on why you want to spend the money. If you actually WANT the packs, and have been interested in playing them for a while, why not? However, if you're just wanting to buy something to BUY something, just sitting on it might be better. I frequently add things to my cart, but I have a rule about waiting, and I often just remove them the next day when the mood has passed.

This! When I started the Sims 4 and didn't really 'get it' I bought packs randomly just to buy them, now I have all the expansion packs except University and can't tell you much about a couple of them. I reckon I'm going to follow this and see how I feel by the end of the weekend. Thank you so much!

:D I get that completely, I really love having new items and interactions etc, it gives me so much inspiration in my gameplay. I reckon I'm going to see how it goes, play a little tonight and see how I feel - thank you so much :)

Honestly. Even If i was totally broke I'd go for it??? I hate not having all if the options available that having more packs bring. And if you already enjoy the game, having more can only make it better and better! Plus bundles are a sweet deal ?

I thought this was a really great example. Someone here on the forum pointed out that the average you might spend for a sims game is the same amount you would spend on a night out. I've spent 60 or more for a restaurant outing, a day at the movies with all of the popcorn. Even walking the mall leads to spending. And it's less than 24hr.
The way I see it, I spend whatever the cost of the game is and I have it for a lifetime. I've put so many hours into this game it's well worth it!

It's a strange combo, you can definitely play those packs for a while but they do not really have anything in common. If you think that you will play them for a while, then go for it. Otherwise you might want to bundle packs that work well together, I suspect that Tiny Living and the new Eco Living pack will work pretty well for example.

I would suppose it depends on what you would be saving for...

Most of the packs are discounted (on Origin) right now so you can buy bundles or separately. As for the money. I also used some of my unemployment money for packs. If it helps you keep sane then do it!

I like watching videos and reviews on YouTube of the packs before I buy them. Unfortunately I've also learned after buying them that some features didn't fit into my favorite gameplay and some were broken (acting, restaurants). I wish I knew beforehand although IF you have the money it's nice to get new CAS/Build items.

As long as it’s extra I don’t see a problem with treating yourself. I like to save but always set aside a little for a splurge.

Save it. One never knows when it will be needed.
