I understood if you place Laundry you're forced to play with laundry? I'd love the stuff as clutter, but don't want the gameplay, so I never bought it.
I bought Eco Lifestyle for the build/buy and have turned off the pack settings, but I wish they were stronger! I'd turn off NAP's completely if I could.
I have laundry. It's not a problem, so long as you don't place clothes hampers in the house! You can have the washer and dryer so that your house can look 'complete'. I mean, how many people today don't have their own machines, right? Laundry only gets backed up if I have the hampers placed and they get full. So, you could have the look of a nice laundry room, without the trouble and hassle of having to actually have your Sims do the laundry.

Yes, I just avoid placing the hampers. I don't make laundry rooms often, but occasionally download a house that has one.

I never knew that, so thanks. I always assumed the clothing would pile up on the floor if we placed the machines.
