The only thing that could make the temple a bit more "difficult" for the Sim is if they interacted with temple objects autonomously, even if you didn't know what all the interactions would do yet. Though that could be resolved too by turning Sim autonomy off. Then again, they probably never programmed that in either.
I think AI can still be trusted that inspecting/solving a puzzle isn't an autonomous behavior, because marriage and proposal aren't as far up to now and those are big important things that I'm sure developers are careful on coding in. Though it could be a problem If the AI starts cancel every queue up interaction we try to initiate related to the tomb's objects -_- .
