By definition, Jungle Adventure doesn't have real traps.
There are nothing more than obstacles that your sims have to overcome. They don't have the element of surprise. They're bluntly visible, and you know the exact danger If you directed a sim to go dare...

It's not just clicking and pointing and hoping you get lucky. With higher archaeology skill you can study the traps and deduce which one is more likely to be the answer.
Some of the treasure chests are also booby trapped! HEre's one I saw in a spoiler tag.

Cursed her? And what are down falls of being a skeleton, other than cosmetic change (which obviously can be debated with no conclusion what side is leaning)? To me honestly, that sounds anything but a curse. A gift perhaps as you only left to take care of the sim's social and fun, while other motive bars of physical necessities get frozen. That's more of a huge benefit than anything.
