Same here its why I use MCCC and other mods (When I am not playing a test game after an update) to eliminate that annoying behaviour but at the same time I don't want lower autonomy in the game.

I love him though. He's so grumpy and sassy. I'm not sure I've ever seen him smile, because he's always making some grumpy/sarcastic expression in my pictures.
I've always thought that Caleb never really wanted to be a vampire and wants to remain as human as possible, which could be why he has the guilty drinker trait.
