Camp Fire Issues

I'm loving Jungle Adventures - but my archaeologist sim's time in the jungle is marred by the fact that she cannot use the camp fire (Ring 'O Rocks), which makes eating quite difficult. I prefer not to make my sims immune to all needs (fulfilling needs being kind of the point in this game), so not being able to cook when hungry is a problem on a multi-day trip in the jungle.

TLDR: Basically, sims route-fail when trying to use the camp fire, anyone else have this problem or know what causes it/the solution?

    Perhaps the campfires work ok on residential lots, and only bug out in other places?
    I already tried moving the thing around a lot, repairing the game, and using both types available, but they still don't work most of the time (occasionally they do!)
    However, if the barrel grill can be placed and then replaced in inventory, it might be a way around. Just not very believable, given making a fire out of rocks is easier than carrying a barrel across the jungle. But then when was the Sims realistic...?

    I have just been using the cooler and I saw that one youtuber I'd watched had issues with the campfire, either it's bugged or maybe it's where you're placing it. I placed a tent and it was just barely too close to a decoration though the sim was obviously able to sit it there putting it back in the inventory and moving forward a bit fixed it. Try moving it around or just getting a new one, then of course repair your game just in case nothing works.

    Really? My sims CONSTANTLY use the campfire I place on their residential lot. I'm thinking about taking it away because it's all they do when left to their own devices is roast marshmallows. All day, roasting marshmallows. It's a little annoying.

    I'm having an issue with the campfire but it's not the same. I can use it but when I tell them to extinguish the fire they'll estinguish but the flame continues and I'm able to put it in my sims inventory with the flame continuing.

    Please everyone mention these issues to SimGuruNick and Arvin. I mentioned the eternal flame glitch to Arvin or Nick on Twitter.
