Can anyone help me get rid of this giant mailbox?

I am having a similar issue with a guitar. My sim went to play his guitar, but for whatever reason, he chose to go across the street. Then when he was done, he put the guitar down. So now there is a guitar in the middle of the sidewalk and nothing I can do about it. He can still play it, but he can't put it in his inventory and I can't reset it or delete it. The limitations of those public spaces are awful!

How about .... With testing cheats on shift click the mailbox and select reset.

As far as the giant mailbox goes, I'd try the move objects cheat suggested by Kremesch73 since it seems that everything else has been tried.

Thanks for the link, but I actually have that in. The guitar was not in his inventory when he started playing it. It was next to the fridge where it has always been. Never had an issue until that day that he wandered off and played it across the street. I dunno what that was about. The game knows his guitar is missing because it was in the family inventory, but the stray guitar is still across the street. Weird.

Thats a cheat for free houses for sims, not to edit community lots with. And I think its freerealestate on, at least thats what I use.

okay I've tried shift-click reset, which does absolutely nothing. I've noticed it doesn't really do much? I used to be able to reset a sim that I didn't want on my lot and they just disappeared, now it just resets them to however they were when they first arrived on my lot. regardless, the mailbox is still there. I tried bb.freerealestate and it didn't do anything to it either. I don't typically mess with any of the save files, so I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I may just be stuck with this monstrous mailbox lol. :/

You don't need a cheat to edit community lots. You can edit career lots and places like Forgotten Grotto, etc. with bb.enablefreebuild. As far as the neighborhood play areas; no. :D

This happened to me and I couldn't do anything so I just move my house to another lot, I dont want a big mailbox on my sidewalk
