Can anyone help me get rid of this giant mailbox?

I had this same problem and finally found a cheat to remove and make it disappear. TestingCheats true on then objects.remove_object_set_as_head
Forgot to mention it needs to be on your head for it to work. If you removed it set as head again and try.

@HarmonySims280: The mailbox doesn't make a difference, or repair, or a new game, or replacing the entire Sims 4 folder, or any of the other solutions given for this bug. It's a game wide problem, all lots, old game, new game, doesn't matter. Some can get a temporary fix, and some can't. I can get a temporary one-time fix by replacing the mailbox (any will do). My Sims have to stay on the lot, absolutely not taking even one step off of it, until the mail arrives the first time, or it never will. I can only get back one thing. If I send several things to Geo Council, I would only get one back. I also can't close the game until this one-time mail is delivered. Then it is done. There's many threads about it, and it works differently for everyone. That's why I think it hasn't been fixed, and why I was looking for a mod. I was thinking maybe some modder also had this problem and created a fix for it. It came with the March 26th patch, before GTW. It doesn't happen the same way for everyone, so I'm not sure EA can recreate the problem. I also am not sure it is considered a priority as there doesn't seem to be enough players that it has affected. I really don't know, but I keep looking. Thanks for trying to help, it is appreciated!

@Montrase102: Yes, that was one of the solutions. Thank you for that. In some case, since the mailbox was off the lot, they couldn't pick it back up to put it back on their heads so it could be replaced. For those that could, it worked!

There were also a few that couldn't get the cheat to work. I'm not sure if they did it correctly, as there have been a few cheats that have gone wonky lately. Not really sure what the problem may have been.

The same thing happened to me..tried various suggestions but none worked so what i ended up doing is going to the electronic arts folder, where i found my saves (saved games the game folder holds for you) and deleted the most recently saved game file, it will give you date and hour of saving, so of course you will know which is the most recent to the least recent.

I saw the most recent one which was the one i saved after this disaster and deleted it only thst one....
it took me back to the previous save before that one and no GIANT mail box

You might just have to go back to a previous save dear, if nothing else works.

Shift click on the big mailbox and click "set as head" again then have your sim walk back on to your property, then debug the big mailbox, then switch to build mode and delete. It worked for me !
