Can celebrity moodlets & such be disabled for Get Famous?

Question

So, the only main expansion I have neglected to purchase is Get Famous because I despised the equivalent pack in Sims3. I hated my Sims getting notoriety, the paparazzi, and the embarrassed moodlets for something. I want to play non-celebrity Sims that don't get much attention & don't care what other characters think.

However, I do like to have complete sets and I do want the build/buy mode stuff from it. So, can I disable the celebrity stuff and still keep build/buy and outfits/hairs?

Is there a mod for this if it can't be disabled without one?

Yes, @Suceress, there's an option to disable fame automatically for all new sims, at which point your sims can only gain fame and become celebrities if you push a button on their simology panel to "Step into the Limelight".

Even if you don't disable fame, fame works much better in TS4 and will not spread. I had the pack for a couple years (?) and I don't think I ever saw one sim earning fame unless it was my intention. You might even like to use the fame for other stuff than showbiz/celebrities. I use it for my nobility and my Council, as I find it natural that random sims will recognize them. Even so, it only happens to the royals that random NPC walk up to them to cheer etc. Oh, and the Mayor. But on the first levels of fame such things never happen.

As @Stormkeep said, you can disable fame in the options. I did so when I first got the pack and never had a problem with it.
Sims who already are celebrities will keep their fame but you can have them quit when you load the household and turn off fame in the simbology panel.
