Can children ride a bike if you buy "Discover University"?

I have not found any information regarding kids and bikes so I'm just wondering if I missed something.

There are a few ways to get your sim to move around the map quickly.

- You can become a vampire and unlock a skill that let's you move superfast. But kids cannot become a vampire
- You can become a spellcaster and take the broom. But kids cannot become a spellcaster
- You can lvl up the wellness-skill and teleport. But kids cannot use the wellness-skill

If you buy "Discover University" then teens and up will be able to ride a bike but how about kids? One day we might get cars in the game but I somehow doubt that children will be driving cars anytime soon so I would really like to know if kids will be able a for them a pretty darn useful way of getting around the map quickly.

I would in fact be really sad if they cannot ride a bike because it felt like a big thing for me when I was little, being able to get around quickly and get moving somewhere by myself.

Did I miss something? Is there any news on this. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Here are the previous two University packs - as you can see anything in the packs was made for University students and not for the people at home. So I suspect Sims 4 University will be the same way. So I really would not expect things for kids at home.

I know they're holding out information for the stream but because its children riding bikes, I feel like it has nothing to do with the university pack at all.

So the fact that they're not answering this specific question when they've answered a select few already probably means that the answer is no.

    Which is kinda annoying.

Or childrens bikes could be coming in the November Update for free? Probaby not though.
  • I really hope children can ride bikes in sims 4. But I think they will not be able to. :( children don't get much attention from the developers lately.

To be fair University is not about the family at home - it's all about the students at University - so I can understand people at home not getting anything in this pack. We need to concentrate on what the college life and student needs in a University pack. Sims 2 and 3 Universities only focused on the students at UNI also.

No. Making them rideable by children would mean the team going the extra mile which is not something they normally do. You can expect the bare minimum amount of activities and animations - given that this EP is not about kids they wont get anything. (Would love to be proven wrong but don't even think there's a chance)

University is indeed about young adults and I don't expect much for other age groups but this is the one feature that makes sense. An expansion pack is supposed to offer more than just one feature like gameplay. It can include a few extras to make it worth it's prize. There are other features that also make sense to enable for children like soccer or ping pong (without the juice) I realise children will probably be excluded from them as well, but they are just activities. Transport has more use and makes sense to open up.

If we ever get cars, children won't be able to use them because they are to young to drive. They are already excluded from brooms, teleportation and I believe also boats. So please give them this one thing. This is the one important means of transportation children can use independently in real life. If they are excluded yet again, they will probably never get any transportation in sims 4.

    Yes!

If children cannot use bikes what other independent means of transportation will they have? Something that doesn’t just work on sidewalks.
