You can have them adopted with MCCC mod though. - RySBI5 years agoSeasoned AceOh cool that’s good to know, thanks!
- wahini20245 years agoNot applicableNope. I accidentally shift clicked a baby and something went wrong and cps took it. I looked immediately in adoption and no, she wasn't there. I was kinda sad honestly that she wasn't because it was a wrong mouse click on my part
- i wish but no :<
- le_TARDISgrade5 years agoNew VeteranIf I remember correctly, when a child was taken away by the social worker in TS3 if immediately afterwards you'd adopt a child, you'd be able to adopt the same one that had been previously taken away. But when I tried the same with TS4, the child was different, a child that is taken away basically vanishes.

That's cool! Do you remember how you do that? I'd like to try this out. - RySBI5 years agoSeasoned Ace

I didn’t know this! It would be a cool feature to add in. It would make sense for the child not to appear for the family that it was taken away from though. I wonder how it would affect relationships and family trees if that was the case. - somewhsome5 years agoSeasoned Ace

I can't remember exactly, but I think it's in Settings/Gameplay settings/Adopt neglected children.
They won't be in the adoption pool though, they will end up in a random family. But that's handy, especially when you have elders with young kids or grandkids — they don't get deleted from the game when sims die. - le_TARDISgrade5 years agoNew Veteran

As far as I remember, if you adopted a child, that child would start with the new family as a blank slate. Even if the child you adopted was technically your own child that had been just taken away by the social worker, it wouldn't keep any of the previously family connections, it kept the name and physical appearance of when it was your biological child, yes, but otherwise it was like a complete stranger being adopted into a new family. - SEREFRAS5 years agoLegendOnly babies can be taken away. I'm not sure if toddlers can or not. I don't play mods only vanilla.
