Can kids use easels?

I know in Sims 4, there's children products for kids to use. But can they use an easel too? I'm curious if it's worthy to try to make room for the kids to have easels or if their drawing table is enough. Mainly cause I learned they can draw a cowplant eating a sim! XDD That sounds so funny, and I'd love it for my house.

@Anitalifegurl Do you have the Get Together EP? If so, go to the retail neighborhood included in the pack called Magnolia Promenade. There is one fishing spot in the neighborhood on the pier. Your Sim will consistently be able to fish up cowplant berries from that spot. If you like to garden, it's a reliable spot for Dragonfruit too! Need some extra simoleons? My Sims also get Voodoo Dolls from that spot all the time and those go for 950 simoleons a pop! :)

Actually, cowberries can be caught fishing at almost all the fishing spots in the game in my experience. But that one spot my Sims always get them, every single time.

Anyway, there's one other spot I've found that has a higher percentage of fishing up cowberries than any other. It's a base game fishing spot too if you don't have the GT EP. Go to the fishing spot way in the back of Magnolia Blossom park in Willow Creek. Have your Sim fish at the middle sign out of three fishing spots available back there. That spot is the one fishing spot to catch rare fish in the park too. Oh, and you can get Dragonfruit from that spot as well. Hope this is helpful!

    Happy Simming! <3

OMG! Best response given regarding the cowplants1 I have only the base game no add ons or expansions. I didn't know there was such sweet spots. I google where to find them and it tells me to go in the Forgotten Grotto! >.< I can't make it there yet, and my house gotten robbed once! I want cowplants for my house's protection against robbers1 >:3 And I've gotten Voodoo dolls a few times and always sold them cause I only wanted the one so far for one of my kiddos.

I'll have to go explore the Magnolia Blossom park then. I live in Willow Creek. So I just gonna try there then! That's sounds much easier than try to fish them up at Glade (the magical place that has innocent giggling creatures in it). And to get Dragonfruit too sounds awesome! I'm working on a sim to be a gardener roughly.

So do you know about the fishing signs with sparkles around it? What's that about? Does that mean there's a special catch there? I tried fishing at one, but it didn't give me anything special. So I don't get why it sparkles magically. Do you know why?

Thank you  Happy Simming to you too!

Kids would build Creativity skill rather than Painting, though. So, when they grow into teens, their Painting skill would still probably be 0.

Thank you  I asked this question originally cause when I looked at the listed examples of all kinds of paintings sims could make, it included the drawing of a sim getting eaten by a cowplant. And I was very confused if it was painted or not and I couldn't tell from the photo. XD So thank you for clearing that up  Creativity for them as kids is important!

You're welcome! :) Your Sims house was robbed? How is that possible? There are no burglers in TS4. I'm confused... o.O

Anyway, the fishing spot signs with rainbow sparkles just means that anyone with a high level fishing skill will have a better chance of catching rares at that spot. If you were to have the Island Living EP and the sparkles were blue instead of rainbow colored, that would mean the spot has the Mermaid's Lure in effect on it. This is an action only available to Mermaids, but it lasts for a few hours and other Sims can take advantage of more fish 'lured' to that spot by a Mermaid.

Yes, it gotten robbed once by a thieving sim xD It was a teen sim that randomly came to my door, never met him before then. I let him in. I attended to my sims while he was in our house. I had 2 sims back then and neither of them knew any other sims at that point, much less a teen! He was chilling, standing around. My house had some toys in it for upcoming family back then, including the giraffe. And I knew which corner it stood in which the teen was near. I looked away from him, then back and he was at the computer. I soon realized my giraffe was missing! He somehow pocketed it when I wasn't looking at him! So I had one of my sims tell him off and make him leave! >:C

I was so upset at that! Sure it was replaceable, but I didn't think the teen would try anything cause it's was a teenager! Thieving teen! >:C And now that I've grown a family, 2 parents and 4 kids, I need them to be protected from such things! So I want cowplants badly for security. I know it's unlikely that the thieves would be hungry and try to get the cow's cake, but there's also a chance too! And plus it'd be very funny if they got caught by a cowplant before they tried to get in my house and vomitted back out XD

I'm guessing that teen had the thieving trait that makes them want to "borrow" things. That's my only guess why my giraffe was suddenly missing. I didn't use build mode when that teen was in my house, I was only looking after my sims in live mode.

Oh cool  Maybe I should give that spot another chance! My mama sim has maxed out her fishing skills  Thanks for all your help

Good luck, I hope you can stop any thieving sims from your sim house
  • Only in Sims 3 can the kids use easels. For some reason they didn't bother to do that in Sims 4. Very disappointing.
