Can lesbian couples have boy babies?

I decided to play a Sims 4 Legacy Challenge and my founder is a lesbian. I chose the rule that heirs need to be the opposite gender and now I have had FIVE baby girls in a row. Is it not possible for lesbians who get pregnant with their wife's babies via "try for baby" to have boys? I know that scientifically, it would not be possible, since two females have no Y chromosome to pass down, but this is a game and is hardly scientifically accurate, so I assumed having boys would be possible.

Yeah, I don't use mods either and I didn't want to use any tricks to artificially influence the babies' genders, so no music or special fruits and vegetables. If the chances of each gender are naturally 50%, then 5 single births in a row of the same gender would have to incredibly unlikely. But wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what I ended up with for my first generation of my legacy challenge. Pretty brutal time to have it happen, to, since the family is SO POOR. When the first baby was born, my sims didn't even have walls yet! Eventually I built an enclosed bathroom and a "room" for the parents' bed, but the baby was sleeping outside for a while. Now that baby is a teen, I have another teen, three children, and one toddler. The toddler is still sleeping in the hallway, since I haven't built him a room yet, but all the other kids at least have 4x2 "cells" with just single beds in them. And I now have two bathrooms, which is pretty important when trying to get two adults, two teens, and three children all ready for work/school in the mornings!
  • I had a lesbian couple the other day in my game but when I went to try for baby the option wasn't there? They were live in and both relationship meters (Green and pink) were full.

Click on the mirror or dresser and select change sim, once you’re in create a sim you can find the “gender options” in the top underneath the gender selector. There you will find various options including the one that allows you to choose if your sim impregnates others, becomes pregnant, or does neither.
  • I don't even think the 'Try For Baby' option is even available for two Sims of the same gender... lol Unless you're playing with mods.

It is if you set one of them to the opposite pregnancy setting in CAS. No mods necessary.

Not necessarily, as you've found out. It's the same with real life babies. My niece had five boys before she finally had a girl! :o
  • Could it be to do with your sim count? I noticed in my game that most of my sims were giving birth to boys for two generations because there was a shortage of men in the game.
  • I suppose it depends on how the baby is being started. If they are using material from both of these females, then no, a baby boy is highly unlikely, speaking scientifically. Two X's will never make a Y. But, fancifully, yes. We have a way to influence the gender of any baby in the game. Also if you use MCCC mod, you can direct how many babies (up to 3) the Sim will have and what gender. (So long as people understand, this is ALL fanciful.)

Definitely don't need any mods, since I don't play with any. I did have to go into "Change Sim" using a dresser once my founder married her wife to set the wife to be able to impregnate other sims (she was set to become impregnated by default) in order for them to be able to reproduce together.
