Can sims get Paranoid without Paranoid trait, because I don't have StrangerVille installed

I don't have strangerVille installed at all, the only EP's I have installed are Discovery University, Parenthood, movie, toddler and one kit pack which is only clothing. It didn't affect my sims at...

well if anything I now realize my sims are not nearly scared and paranoid enough on daily and I will now go torment them :lol:
