Can sims get Paranoid without Paranoid trait, because I don't have StrangerVille installed

I don't have strangerVille installed at all, the only EP's I have installed are Discovery University, Parenthood, movie, toddler and one kit pack which is only clothing. It didn't affect my sims at...

When they're running like that, they're generally in the Scared emotion. Those are the animations for the Scared emotion, which was added to the base game.
