Can Someone Please Explain the Appeal of Build Videos?

Okay, so I have noticed right now build videos seem to be most popular among YouTube watching sims fans. And not to be rude in any way, but I honestly don't get the appeal of them. Sure, I love to see...

I enjoy watching them sometimes, they give me ideas sometimes. Also I might want to check a build out to see if I want to download it.
