Can Someone Please Explain the Appeal of Build Videos?

Okay, so I have noticed right now build videos seem to be most popular among YouTube watching sims fans. And not to be rude in any way, but I honestly don't get the appeal of them. Sure, I love to see...

I watched a couple of tutorial videos to learn how to do certain things in build mode a year ago and have to admit I had never watched one before then, or since. I wanted to build lakes, rivers and creeks in some parks, and searched the forum for some videos to help me. But I must admit they were difficult to watch through to the end.
