Thanks for the explanations, I think it must definitely come down to different interests people have. For me I do enjoy building myself sometimes, but definitely have to be in the right frame of mind to do it. For me my favorite thing about the game is the ability to create a story with the sims, so that obviously lends itself more to LPs or CAS. I also enjoy watching LPs to see the differences in how people approach the game/ approach challenges they might be doing. That's probably why lately I've been into watching Clare Siobhan's series, she herself annoys me in some ways but she is great at telling a story and creating characters that you feel invested in. I think it's probably that a lot of people love the building aspect of the game. I think for me some of it is my lack of attention span too, as someone else said, I don't want to invest fifteen minutes of watch time for one cool build trick that I could use, I just don't have the patience for that (so that's my own issue).
