Can Vampires autonomously drink from other sims?

I'm asking because my vamps aren't drinking from other sims when they've become thirsty. They'll go all the way into the red, switch to dark form, and still will not drink from another sim unless I ma...

Lately I have had one of my teen vampires drink autonomously a couple of times when I was playing another family and he was visiting them. I wonder if he was really that thirsty or whether he was just very angry.
