Can vampires suffer emotional deaths?

Ever since one of my favourite sims died from laughter on xmas day and Grim rejected her husband's plea (I exited without saving) I've got all my human sims doing the writer aspiration so they write the book of life thingy should anyone laugh themselves to death in the future.

However, I'm thinking of going back to my vamp couple as well who aren't doing the aspiration, and I was wondering if I should - can vampire sims laugh themselves to death?

(For that matter, can vampire sims suffer normal human death types, ie electrocution, or is it just sunlight?)
