I don't get headaches from playing this game, either. I am glad that the devs finally got rid of the whiter than white blossomy loading screens, softening them with those light blue plumbobs, however. I also try not to play this game when I'm tired, as there is an Epilepsy Warning in the leaflet for this game. I keep my room well-lit and my screen, while large compared to what I used to use, is a mere 20" diagonal viewing area. I'm sorry to hear so many of you have been adversely affected.
Something I noticed that may help contribute to the headaches is how my system is setup. I use a 32" TV as my screen. Sometimes, I never know why it happens the refresh rate of the actual screen/monitor setting (even if not playing a game) gets changed by TV to 29 hertz refresh rate. I assume this is done by my video card or MS or the TV on it's own. I have to go into my AMD video card settings and change the refresh rate back to 59hertz for wide screen. It is slightly noticable and sometimes you just know when something is different. This may contribute to headaches I would think if someone thinks it's set at 59hertz when it's not. The following article doesn't explain why a TV connected screen will change to below the 59hertz.

ETA: There have been many times during playing TS4 I saw my resolution drop to 29hertz instead of the 59 or 60hertz and had to stop and change it for my screen. Many may never notice.
